Things progress quickly when you really start picturing what you want. Everything falls into place. My home sold, that is the sale is pending. My escrow should close the twelfth of December. I love the sound of that, like the Johnny Mathis song, “The Twelfth of Never” only I truly will be on my way into my lifelong dream of traveling with no planned end.
Right now I feel so busy with escrow that I’ll be staying in the United States a while to tie up loose ends, whatever I haven’t finished, like getting a universal driver’s license from AAA, emergency life insurance, arrange my stocks and banking, and possibly some dental work. There’s a lot when you leave everything. I’ll be driving to visit family before selling my car. In fact, a friend who takes me to the airport will sell it for me.
The last couple days in my home, after packing the bare essential in boxes to put into storage to have a shipping company send them to me later, I’ll have an estate sales person come and take things to her shop to sell on commission. She will simply deposit any moneys that come in into my bank account. I’ll be setting things up so that my mail will be forwarded to a relative and mailed to me once a month. Lots of little details to consider.
